Transfer Programme Designed To Assist The Transition From Primary To Secondary School
The service delivers a programme to assist students make the transition from primary to secondary school education. Sessions include coping with change, self-esteem and forming new friendships as well as practical issues such as reading timetables, use of lockers and school journals. As the service employs Youth Liaison Officers in all Sligo & Leitrim secondary schools, they discuss the various extra-curricular clubs and groups that students can join to assist them integrate into their new school.
